When my FRPS went bad I could smell fuel in the oil when I sniffed the dipstick.

Also I just took it out and actually went WOT with it. It had a hiccup, just a very quick, no power, and then right back in there. Also the fuel pressure shot up to somewhere above 50 psi, (not sure I had to hold on and steer the thing) but for the split second I had to look down it was a little above 50 psi. Normal??

Does the car have a PPRV delete?

Not sure, I don't even know what a pprv is? Learn me, and I'll check. Sorry...

Well, maybe it was. Now checking the plugs doesn't sound like such a bad idea, lol. Maybe I'll do that this weekend.

Just looked at all of the receipts for the car, and it does list a PPRV delete kit, so I'm assuming that it does have it installed.

PPRV is a pressure relief valve meant to prevent spikes in fuel pressure. It usually causes hesitation between shifts or when going from moderate throttle to WOT. Some people think that the delete kits can make the FRPS more likely to blow.
If the delete kit was installed with a kink in one of the hoses or one of the clamps is bleeding off pressure, or if one of the hoses blew off it can cause a hesitation at WOT. Do you know if the car did this before you got it or did it just start?

I don't know if it just started or not. Anyway I can tell the hose blew off? Where is it located?

Unfortunately you'd have to drop the tank and pull the fuel hat.

Just out of curiosity, what is the advantage to deleting the pprv? I just got on it a little bit again, not quite wot, but close. Shortly after I started to lay into it, it hesitated again and then just picked right back up. Really annoying.

Maybe a kink in one of those lines? Not sure what to look at for this one. Damn, I feel like a moron. Fox's are so much easier, lol.

hesitated as in bogging down for a second or two?

The factory PPRV setup causes hesitation when going from moderate to WOT or when you first floor it again after an upshift. The delete removes the pressure relief valve replaces the factory accordian type hoses with smooth hoses.
Before going to the trouble of dropping the tank it sounds like you need to datalog it and see what's going on and go from there.

Do you have the handheld tuner from the previous owner?
