  • Need some help with caster/camber plates (pics inside)

Ok, in this pic the two spacers circled in red are the ones I am missing.

What I need to know is where one might get these two spacers and where do they go. Above the cc plates or below.

In this picture I've mocked it up to look like it does installed on the car with the car sitting on the ground using the shorter spacers shown in the pic above.

NOT GOOD - As you car see, part of the strut tube is sticking up through the cc plate. Note - for whatever reason, the drivers side looked normal when sitting on the ground.

Thanks for any help, I'd like to get my shit back on the road STAT.

To accommodate a number of scenarios for strut length and vehicle ride height, the caster/camber plates come with two sizes of strut bushings and a strut spacer. On a car with Steeda springs and Tokico struts, the spacers and short bushings go on top, with the long bushings underneath the caster/camber plates. these bushings and spacers can be varied for different spring/strut combinations

    copy and pasted
where to buy them..? i have no clue sorry

so you don't use both spacers, it's one or the other ? If that's the case I defintely need the longer ones. I'm confused.

yea see I got these from a buddy of mine and just kinda figured it out.

Based on that link, they are showing two thin spacers on top and two thick spacers on the bottom. To it looks like the "thick" spacers circled in red in the first pic would go on the bottom.

Makes sense, but need to confirm that and then figure out where to get em

well as you know the car is sitting differently and now with the new cc plates the strut is either going to sit higher or lower depending on if its lowered or not,so now you just have to determine/figure out which ones you need.
i set mine up for stock and it worked out fine.
i added a different link to the original post for the year specific models. see if it helps you more.(sorry)

The main purpose of those bushings, for cars like ours, is to keep the top part of the spring retainer from hitting the bottom of the strut tower. With a strange strut and 'standard' coil overs, they are CLOSE even with the longer bushing. Nothing is needed on the top with this setup.

I would call the manufacturer of the part, HPM. I have had good luck with getting missing parts for kits from other manufacturers like MM before.

                    IT's a lakewood 90/10.

Just so I'm clear, the longer spacer needs to go underneath the plate, with NO spacers on top?

I think HPM is out of business, I cabnt find any info on them.

That's how mine is, and all of the ones I've done in the past. I just did them last week or so - verified by instructions. I'll look, i might even have the instructions still.

                        I appreciate it.

Would you happen to know where I might get those longer spacers?

The spacers are there for adjustment for the different coil over kits and strut shaft demensions.

i have a set if you still need them, let me know.
