The belt was slipping. Not enough tension. We hooked up a boost gauge and it didn't even hit 6lbs. That's alright though, it means it should make a heap of power when it works correctly.

It made 397 with the 3.6 pulley. We never checked the boost level then, but if it's making 393 on 5.5lbs, it never really saw a true 8lbs.

get a good belt man, you'll be money ahead. the belt that came with my vortech lasted all of 4 months and it was done. i got a gatorback and it didn't have to change it again as long as i had the car. and i drove it hard.

i agree with those that are not in favor of no intercooler. even with a safe tune, with 10# i would think that you will be right at or just over 450@ the tire and that's enough to say good bye to your ring lands.
