Have a 05 mustang instrument cluster question

Wife has a 2005 v6 mustang the stepper motor on the instrument cluster are acting up. 1st question will the car run with out the instrument cluster? 2nd question will a 2007 mustang instrument cluster work in a 05 mustang. I believe the 05-06 stangs have the stepper motors in the dash and 07 and on where different. Any info would be great

Cant say for sure but I'm going to guess no start if cluster disconnected. It usually affects the anti theft system

They wanted 300.00 bucks to rebuild the instrument cluster. I'll pass there other places that will do it for 60 bucks. Just have to mail it to them and wait. I guess ill see if the car will run with out the cluster.
