The plan for the time being for the Mustang

Ok so the 2.3L Thats in my 85 coupe is running worse and worse everyday. I have decided since getting my Turbo Coupe that I want to end up with a Turbo 2.3L in my Coupe.

So I think to keep the forward motion on the Coupe with little money to do so, Im going to swap in a FI N/A 2.3L in it for now. A buddy has a good one with the wiring harness, computer, and a healthy 2.3L he pulled out of his Coupe. He's only charging my 150.00 for all of it and it will at least make my car FI and get me away from the Carb setup it has now.

Now the prob with going FI in my car is its an 85 and has no Electric fuel pump so Im guessing I will have to rob the tank, wiring, and return line out of an 86 and newer car.

Im just bored and wanted to share, what do yall think?

You could just keep it the way it is and fix it. Then do an aftermarket turbo build with a carb built for boost

The motor in the Coupe has A LOT of miles. Lastnight is the first time I've cranked it in 6 weeks and it smoked for 15 minutes. This motor is wore out!!!

Plus a FI Turbo 2.3L will make more power and be cheaper than a Carbed one.

How do you figure it will be cheaper?

Well the motor I have in the car now has cast pistons and crap rods. Any kind of boost on this motor and it will go boom.

Convert it to EFI V8 & make more power & get better MPG & cheaper!

Seb for me its not about that. I like the 2.3L motors, I dont care about making a ton of power. I like the way they sound like a tractor, I like the way the power it does have feels, I like how the 2.3L's are everywhere, and I like how easy they are to work on.
