  • AOD TV pressure help

Does anyone know the pressure that the TV cable needs to be set at and the process? I've adjusted it by feel but it's still a little off. Also, does anyone know if there were any minor differences in an '89 Bronco throttle body and a '96 F150 as far as the positioning for the TV and throttle cables? Thanks.

Here's all you need to know. Good luck.

FORD AOD Automatic Overdrive BLOCK TYPE-TV CABLE ADJUSTMENT IMPORTANT: The AOD transmission may feel like it is shifting at the right time when the TV cable is actually way off! The transmission will work for a while and then FAIL! It is critical that you learn to set the TV exactly like this...

      1. hold the throttle @ WOT.

      2. @ WOT pull the TV cable threw the adjuster until it stops moving.

      3. lock the TV adjuster.

Thanks for the links, the pressures are what I was needing. Part of my problem is when I had a guy do my exhaust he did a half ass job and bent the bracket the TV cable goes to. I thought I put it back to where it belonged but I guess I'll see once I get a gauge on it.
