  • Milkshake intake.

Radiator has been building pressure and been bleeding off when i stop. Having to put coolant in every other day or so. Misfires like crazy when it sits for a while, So I yank the intake tonight to start the headgasket process, and I see this. Now the intake bolts were not very tight, what are the odds this is just the intake gaskets leaking? This stuff is only here, not anything in the pan.

Lmfao, that socket in the 3rd pic on the bellhousing has been missing for a month or so. After loading the pic i was like wtf, and went to retrieve it.

water passages are a very common leak on these engines. silicone around the holes when you put it back together.

clean it up. New gaskets and use thin film of clear silicone around the water jackets. Stick it back together and make sure you torque it in sequence and at least 4 times. Dont just torque once and leave it. Do it at least 4 times. And use silicone on the block mating surface. Not cork or rubber..Change thermostat while you have intake off too.

I changed gaskets today, seems to have been the problem, just have to set timing again and put fresh oil in it. What a relief, cause the driveway today was a cold bitch.

Torque them back down after a couple of heat cycles. I've had them get a little loose on me.
