  • 2000 mustang v6 sputtering?

My wifes v6 just started acting up. Last week while we were driving it started to sputter and act as if it was out of gas. We were low on fuel so we stopped and filled up and didnt have another problem until today. She called me and said it did the same thing on the highway but this time it died.. She pulled over and started it back up with no problem..
Car has around 160k on it any help would be appreciated

Has it had a tune up ever?

Has it had a fuel filter every 20-25k? or at all?

    Is there any codes?

Not since she's had it. Probably that time. And no codes

If its been 50 to 60k since she's had it, I would do plugs and fuel filter first. Just buy the single platinum plugs they should be around $2.99 to $3.99 a piece and a fuel filter.

Most of those start misfiring between 140k and 165k that I see through my shop. Usually they still have the factory plugs in them.
