93 Fox Jumping Speedo & Buzzing

My 93 started this a couple weeks ago, say when your going 60 the needle bounces erracticatlly between 55 & 60. I also have a constant buzzing, is there a plastic gear behind the cluster has gone bad? I spoke to someone that said I needed a new speedo cable and housing?

Sounds like an easy fix but I wanted to see if anyone else had fixed it before I go removing my cluster and buy the correct parts.

Ive had a constant buzz sound even when sitting still.. dunno what it is.. Usually turn car off and back on and it goes away

I would suggest putting some graphite lube in your speedo cable to help with the bouncing.

New cable and be sure to lube it really good before you install it.

It probably just started due to the change in outside temp.
