My Sears 3 ton jack works just fine....and has for at least 20 years now. It's a heavy SOB though. I've heard a lot of bad stories about the newer jacks regardless of brand.

Seems like the older jacks are the best.
2 years ago my dad got on from parts plus. And it's worked great.
I have that same jack, and it works great. Got it for $149 on sale last year right before Christmas. Also bought the 1.5 ton version for $59 at the same time. Makes a great "carry to the track" jack. Very light.
my Sears jack is 5 yrs old and leaks. You cannot get parts to fix it. I have Napa jacks now and love them. You can get parts if you need them to repair them also..
