  • Honda Mechanics?

Anybody work on Hondas much around mesquite? My buddy has an EG hatch with a d15 swap and y8 header with p28 computer. Idles like balls but has pretty fresh motor. checked most sensors and they look good but idk if it has a goofy harness or anything like that because i dont know those cars too well. It runs well when you give it throttle but the idle lopes from 800 down to 200 and back up, just oscillating like that.

Anybody feel like helpin out? lol

Tell him to swap the IAC and the TPS connectors. They are right next to each other and they are the same connector. I have done this before and had the exact symptoms that you are talking about.

vac leak possible as well... my civic in highschool vac line fell off under the intake for the cruise control ( i think) and it surged like that. Id say Id look at it being ill be in mesquite tomorow but its thanksgiving and well its been around 10 years since i messed with honda stuff.

Good forum id check is honda-tech.com or clubsi.com for some online tech

ill try switching the connectors real quick! I'm on honda-tech and posted a few threads but they are all telling me to do the same things, etc. I would like somebody that knows what's up to just take a look at it.

Iacv is probably clogged up. Remove it and clean it out and see if that fixes it pretty common issue as well

Ok, I know that they can be switched on the 96 model. Then yeah, look for vacuum leaks.
