        I ran a cartech box on a gt-40 lower w/ j302 heads a "b" cam with a b trim Vortech and rci 1 3/4 long tubes in '92. Car was fast then, would be fun even now. Damn I want my old car back.

        box didn't have much down low but came on like crazy on top. It complimented the blowers boost curve. Pulled to 6250 even with the b cam.

          Why run a higher a/r if you will be bleeding off most of the exhaust gasses with a wastegate?

          I'm not talking about tons of boost... its an iron headed 5.0...

                  You can't bleed enough exhaust gas to necessitate an A/R that's ~20% smaller. At some point you will turn it up, then what? Once the boost/backpressure ratio gets upwards of 1.7:1, you're done.

                  'tons of boost' and 'iron headed' mean squat... actually, less than squat.

                  Mike, You're reading the wrong articles if you're looking at breadboxes and tunnel rams.
