  • Front line on brake proportion valve leaking.

It's leaking. I loosened and retightened the line, still leaking.

Common problem? Or what? Seems like a odd place to leak.

Fitting is probably just worn out. Please get it fixed. We don't need you running around the metroplex with no fucking brakes!

A quick fix would be to use some teflon tape, then bleeding your brakes. The proper fix will be to replace the line and proportioning valve.

      Leaks happen.

EDIT: Fox brakes already suck donkey balls. You need to get this fixed pronto. Any loss in what they come with stock will be a serious issue.

I'll just snag the prop valve and line off of my 89.

I had this problem last winter the fluid would go low and I noticed the leak, no problems during the summer and now since it's cooled off its back at it.

I guess after hitting ludicrous speed from the 230rwhp the fitting just couldn't handle all that POWA and speed

Its leaking from the front seal on the prop valve.

I thought it was the lines, Now see it's the valve itself.

If it's the proportioning valve, it would be a good time to upgrade it to an adjustable unit. If you ever went to 4wd, it's really nice to have.

x2. Pull to prop valve, use a couple unions, then put an adjustable in. Probably take ya all of an hour maybe. Depending on if you have to do any cut and flare.

Do I have to bleed the prop valve or just the brakes? About to swap it out with another stock unit.

Is brake cleaner safe to spray thru the Valve or should I use something else?

I know denatured alcohol is ideal to soak it in. But I just want to blow any debris out.

Fixed, didn't even need to bleed the brakes. Nice firm pedal now.
