Spark plug not going in.?

I have Vic jrs using sparkplug 3923, 7 of the plugs went on perfect #5 will thread in 3 turns then get hard, I turned it about 1/4 turn with ratchet and it started to turn but backed out to create any further damage.

Any ideas of what problem can be and or solution?

Check the threads on the new plug, make sure they're not messed up.

You can also try running one of the other plugs(new or old) into that hole to see if it is the threads in the head.

I tried with a couple of the new plugs and they didn't go in either, those plugs are currently in other cylinders.

run it in with a impact
mine use to do the same,ant-seize seem to be the only thing that helped. just work it in out as if you were running a tap.
its a scary feeling i know.....

Probably junk in the threads on the head. A good tap and die set is your friend.

Put some JB Weld on the spark plug threads and run it in with an impact. Problem solved.

Put some grease into the flutes of the tap so it will catch whatever comes away from the goobered threads.

Anytime you have two dis-similar metals you want to use anti-seize. Especially with aluminum and steel.
