I noticed one of my headlights went out and I was wondering where everyone goes for h.i.d.s?

I read somewhere about a guy that will come to you and install them at your house.

Any prefered brands of ligts or prefered shops?

    TIA

You can get them on Fleabay but I have bought several kits from this place in Garland on Miller and Garland Rd. JL Kuztoms I think, a few blocks east of Garland rd. About 60.00 and if something goes wrong with them, you can take them back there and get replacements. I have not had any problems with the sets Ive bought.

I guess I should have included more info in the OP. My truck (rcsb silverado) already has hids in the low beams, I need 1 bulb replaced before my inspection and have no idea where to go. I would prefer to not have to buy a new kit, just the bulb would be good.

This is where I get the HID kits for my friends and family. Hollywood also picked up a set from here as well.

Bulbs are almost as much as a kit, might as well get a kit and them you have spare stuff.

Also they are all using the smae the same suppliers, just different names. If you look closely they are all the same. Unless you go with a Slim ballast kit.

I wish I could roll HID's but don't like how they look in a halogen housing. My other issue is how the projector housings on a fox look so I think I'm just gonna get some silverstar ultras. Has anyone used those?

Yeah, I used the silverstars in my dads s60r volvo, little better/brighter than stock. Maybe the best option for you, I've read about glare and light distrubution issues with stock housings.

They are garbage and burn out very quick. Dont use a tinted bulb.
