How about just going up there with cash in hand. That usually proves to them that you aren't just shopping them over the phone.

I have talked to them before, and could be a possibility, but they are a looooong way from me. I'm south of Dallas.

Call and ask for Matt, tell him you want an SCT and tune after you have the cam in your car.

I guess you mean Matt at GH's?

GH's is always to busy. Get ahold of andy at primtuning.com great guy, great service. Also you can buy a blank chip from moates for $60 vs 250 for an sct. If you buy the chip and feel comfortable mailing it to me in denton or coming buy ill burn a tune I had in my 95 with long tubes, xpipe, 3:73's, TF intake manifold, 1.72 rr. Its a starter tune that will delete egr, thermactor, turns the fans on earlier, and puts a little more aggressive timing in it. Anyone with sct stuff can burn on moates hardware and its much cheaper.

I got ahold of Andy today. Seemed to be a very nice and knowledgeable guy. I'm going to stick the cam in, then get it to him.

They still never took care of the CEL on Risa's car after we bought the SCT from you. I don't know how that thing works - can they send me a tune I load onto it or what? IIRC it's throwing an o2 sensor code.

                  Hmm.........

This is just one directory (for just one car) of all the tune files that I got for free from SCT/Bama through American Muscle, thus, after requesting a tweak/change after a modification. All received by email either same day or next business day upon request.

Same policy applies to chips as well as the hand held tuners.

                  ..

i think he was just pointing out the fact that bama can't/ won't tune for certain mods like cam's, over 100 shot of nitrous, ect. they will only tune for bolt on's and not much else.

plus the op has a 95 which is pre obdII, so he has to pull the chip and mail it to have a new tune put on it if he made a change.

Bama will tune for cams. The major problem with the op is he will have a chip not a handheld. Thus if one thing is off, then he will have to pay to ship it back to then for the fix rather then just email and get sent a new tune to load himself unless he has an sct burner which I doubt.

To the op, if Andy doesn't work out, give us a shout. Sean our tuner, tuned my 95 with a mild 347 in it with no issues. Car ran much smoother, no more surging, better mpg etc.

If you put an LC1 WB in the car I'll go with you out to Kennedale and tune your car at the track. Once we create an optimal tune I'll burn it to a chip. Part throttle tuning can be done on the way to the track. I can just plug in my Quarter Horse and datalog everything. PM me if you are interested.

I had it set up for Marisa to go up there and get it fixed with Travis personally, she declined.

We went up there a second time, and it still didn't get fixed. That's all water under the bridge anymore though, I just want the CEL gone now. So, is there a way to do it "remotely" so to speak? that was more my question than the part you answered.

It would require a tune being loaded into the SCT, and then the turne being DLed into the PM via that SCT tuner.
