  • Blown Head gasket....?

So, about 1 week ago, I noticed my heater wouldnt heat... Thought maybe the thermostat needed to be replaced... then, the car overheated, car needed more coolant. Heater worked, and no more overheating after that.

The next day there was a huge puddle of water under my car (right front passenger side), but I still had plenty in the resevoir.
Yesterday, I noticed what appears to possibly be a small spot of oil (maybe?) right under the engine.

This morning, after about 15 min of driving, I got home and there was smoke around my engine, but the car was not overheating.

Just now, smoke out of the exhaust (both sides) AND a decent amount of water dripping out of the exhaust (both sides) when I rev it up.

Heater core...? Blown head gasket...? HELP!

99% sure it's your heater core. If they are not grounded they electrolysis into oblivion. Replace your heatercore or just bypass it.

Just checked the oil... No water. Started the car again, and no smoke this time, but there is still water in the exhaust... more than just condensation.

              It's not the heater core

A blown head gasket (cylinder to water) will miss a bit and leak out exhaust when full, but when it gets low on water it will run fine with no water in exhaust but overheat Also look for bubbles or cylinder pressure in reservoir or leaking overflow while running. Usually its enough pressure to come out even with cap on.

This sounds like the infamous 'cracked intake manifold' issue from the 4.6. Somoene else will know what years are affected. Your car is a 2003?
