Shift light question

I got this idea from top gear.... They drove a new jag and the gauge cluster would turn red when putting the throttle down... I was wondering is it possible to have 05 and up stangs gauges go red when we get close to redline? I don't want to put a shift light in the car due to tackiness.... Unless you all know of a hide away one....

Figured it would be a simple mod using the pre existing "my touch feature"

I dont know about the older models, but in the 2012 mustang I rented, the tach would flash red when you bounced it off the limiter.

Yep, it does that in the new 5.0's. Can be annoying though.

I'm guessing there is no way to adjust/set it to come on at a specified rpm ? That would be titties.

that's what I did with my boost and air fuel gauges.

I had to remove the fins to see the boost, but since the a/f changes colors it's easy to see the way it is. aether way it can't be seen unless your in the drivers seat.

I would imagine that you can adjust it in the tune unless its controled buy the gem (body module). Older ford processors had a shift light built in that can be added like the turbo coupe processor and is rpm adjustable. I would ask manny or travis if its possible.

I used a autometer rpm switch to light up my interior lights in my crew cab . I put in red bulbs to keep it from blinding me .

Ironically the SVT gauges from the 2007' Cobras do.

On the left side where the tach is, in the middle theres the letters "SVT" and when you get close to redline, the SVT lights up yellow. I had them in my 05' GT and loved it, plus how much better they look over-all than the stock 05-09 Gauges.
