  • Motorcycle brake squeal

Single front disc brake that is squeaking slightly at low speeds. Applying brakes quiets it. So far I have done the following: new galfer pads, quiet disc brake grease on the backing of the pads, sanded down the edges of the pad surface, cleaned caliper, flushed front and rear brake fluid, and cleaned rotor with brake cleaner. After all that it still squeals a bit at low speeds and again, goes away when brakes are applied.
Also, when backing out of the garage, I am steadily applying front brake pressure to control the backwards roll and the brakes moan or do a low pitched squeal. Any help would be great. (did the back brakes at the same time, the same way and they are quiet)

depending on when you changed them the pads might still be dragging the disc a bit...they will wear down and bed in under some hard braking.

as long as the pads are not seriously binding on the disc you'll be fine. if the discs are hot after a casual ride, then you need go back through your calipers before your discs warp.
