I have been trying to talk him into installing a muffler on the ranger for that very reason.

Rangaer has a muffler now they sound different, good, but different. Not every one gets it.

I ran an open 3" downpipe on my SVO, it was quite tolerable since the turbo will do a lot of muffling.

Make sure to do a full throttle pass through the Addison toll tunnel while you have an open exhaust.

Becareful...........

Boost control could be an issue with the loss of back pressure........

if the trubo is an internal gated 50 trim, with a 3" exhaust elbow..... it will Defintely have boost controll issues.... don't ask me how i know...
