You really need to stop posting bullshit you have no idea about. Seeing a post about someone else's opinion or seeing one on craigslist is not reason for you to chime in. Precision makes great turbos and a lot of guys with serious hp cars run them with out fail.

Get the .96. With those kinds of rpm and moderate boost levels I think a .82 would be a little bit of a choke. Is this a street car? Trans brake?

The .81 housings are not as easy to get anymore, but I agree with the .96 ar.
I think he said it'll be a street car, but he wants to run 9s, if I recall and drive to and from the strip.

In my stock shortblock single t70 5spd full susp.car, I was running 10.76 @ 124 in the 1/4. So I have a feeling he'll be running almost as fast as the supra.

Its got a 1.32 on it but from what I understand thats way to big
I have a .81 housing at my shop if you want it. It's ceramic coated and I'd take $75. PM if you want it.

I dont see much of an issue getting this thing into the mid-high 9's realistically. Just gonna take some time and suspension tuning

Precision is just a shit chinese copy of a Garett.

There is a reason why OEMs and Le Mans racers use Garrett.

                          Exactly none.

I don't need to own a fake rolex to know its subpar.

But do you need to buy a Rolex when a Timex will do? My point is this: You're repeating opinion. Stop it. You have no real frame of reference, and plenty of guys on here and all over the world have installed plenty of Precision turbos, and a lot of other non-Garrett turbos without incident. It's one thing to say, "I'd love to have a Garrett one day," but again, that doesn't have anything to do with the subject at hand. He's just asking for advice about what to buy for the turbo he has. He's not looking for you to have a seizure through your keyboard, and pass it off as a post. You don't know anything about what you're talking about, you have nothing to contribute, and as usual, you think we give a shit. Shut the fuck up while grown folks are talking.

Good fuckin' grief, 'get a real turbo' ?? Cheap copies?

Precision uses garett parts, yes. Copies? How so? Precision has their own housing, own machining, ported volutes, billet wheels etc.. I suppose those are all copies too?

He said 'billet wheel' - haven't seen one of those come out of the chinese market yet, nor on a OE garret either.

Now, for the question at hand - depending on what the OP wants for performance, and a relatively high RPM engine, I'd be looking at the .96. Backpressure could end up bieng a problem on the .81 imho.

For reference purpose only, my 302 with the .69 MPT70 could launch at 2900 on the brake and see 12psi easily.
