Picked up a T-Bird TC Need a Little Help

As justa4banger said ditch the ihi. They are a big bottelneck, t3 60/63 or.48 and it will make a world of difference plus the ihi's start to grenade at 17 psi. Ranger roller cam but you have to retard it 4 deg or just leave the stock turbo coupe slider cam as they have more lift. Ranger cam is a good replacement due to the sliders wearing out and flatteing lobes. Front mount intercooler , volvo or isuzu npr. Keep that e6 manifold and port the exhaust outlet at the turbo flange(good cheap mod) boost controller and 17psi. Full 3" exhaust and bump timing to 12 deg base.

As for the idle issue check for leaks, clean the iac motor and do a base idle reset, also the vam on theese cars cause all kinds of running problems and don't last long. You can get a reman from oriellys for 90 bucks with 1 yr warranty. I bought one and replace it every year until I did my maf swap.

I've got one of the brass adj boost controller I'd part with for $20, and I'll give you a stock 86 SVO Garret turbo, if you want to get it rebuilt. Ive got a few other SVO things if you need them. I always wanted Tbird, but like my SVO if just for the weight and handling differences.

You most likely need an ignition module. It certainly could be vacc leaks as well, but my bet is the module.

window motors get buildup in them over time and cease. i have 2 i can get to ya pretty cheap. or diagnose the problem.

also, the turbo is tiny. upgrade as stated. i have a couple t3/to4E 50 trims for sale now and can get the t3/t04b h trims at a good price with internal gate.

clean car.. had one that looked just like it.

coolant temp sensor go out in them too. this can cause a rich idle/die issue as well.

The PO said that it would get hot in traffic but I havent seen it since I've been driving it. Ill put in a new one this weekend.

As far as the windows go I really want them fixed. Im going to pull the door panals this weekend and test the motors. But if I need some motors ill let you know and thank you.
