  • Just got some nitto 555r's...

And they felt just like the bald tires i used to have in the back lol Ill be going to the track this weekend and i'm needing some advice on how to make this tires hook a bit better. Im running gt40ps, tfs stage 1, some 4.10 in the back, stock aod and couple bolt ones. Also which might be the best way to help them hook on the street? Like how much psi? Thanks!

Do they hook pretty well or do you have to burn them out for a little bit?

Depends on power level, weather, etc. They hook really well on my stock cobra.

Do a good burn out and run them around 15 to 17 when you run...

On the street you need some vht to hook. I think mine were set at 14psi.

It takes pretty good track prep to get them to hook up right. They were always good on the street and not so good on the track for me. MT ET's are the only way to go.

14psi on the street was the hot ticket for my rig, back in the blower day.

Just barrrrely slip the clutch from the dig and let 'er eat.

I hated my first set, but love my second set, both went on the same car too. I don't get it?

How are your rear control arm bushings and torque boxes ? Those tires should hook easy at your power level with a stock aod .
