  • 99+ GT front Cobra brake conversion

Looking though parts lists, I just need to confirm some things before I make the plunge. Obviously I'll need rotors, calipers and pads. Hubs are the same. Only thing I've got a question on is if I'll need to change the brackets, or if the GTs will work. Should be pretty straight forward, unless you guys can tell me about any surprises I haven't anticipated. Looks like the master cylinder is the same.

You'll have to change the brackets. I had to do that with my rear end swap that had Gt brakes.

Brackets are the difference, not the calipers. The bracket is taller to fit the larger rotor. Pads are the same.

The calipers look nicer from the cobra/bullit/machs, but functionally are the same.

Brackets are different. Are you trying to get the calipers from autozone/o'rileys?

Did some calling around. Brackets are obsolete through Ford.

Didn't see that. Doesn't matter. Still applies.

not sure if you can still get them, but you work at a parts store so maybe you can find them

Already worked that angle. Ridiculously expensive.
