My 01 Saleen spit out a spark plug once (this has been a well documented problem on 4.6 2V heads, often in Explorers), had a time-sert installed to fix the head and it worked great. It was a good thing too, I had a lot of work done to those heads. So I'd deff. go time-sert!

Point taken...ordering a new bracket now. Not worth worrying about the repair for a $60 part, you guys are right. The best repair would be to have the hole plugged/welded shut and then re-drill and tap the hole, but I'd have to get the position perfect, and by the time I paid someone to weld the bracket and grind the surface smooth again, I'd probably be close to the cost of the new part anyways.

Thanks again for the help guys.
