  • Best place for turbo parts

Looking for flanges for my s400, found some spots online but figure a truck place local might have it.

Brooks or others may know of the flanges. Truck pro just south of 820 and east(?) of Mark IV pkwy had the tclamps and silicone hose. Napa had some tclamps as well.

There may be one closer to you.

I told you how to get flanges man!

budget considered - Go to the metal place and get a piece of 1018 cold rolled steel out of the 'scrap bin' (they'll sell it by the pound - CHEAP, a lot cheaper than buying one pre made)

Next, put it on your FIL's mill and go to town. You can make about 8 flanges out of 1018 for the cost of one that you buy off the shelf.

I know I know, the t6 flange shouldn't be a problem, but the 5 in downpipe flange/clamp and the compressor outlet flange are pretty damn expensive. Raceparts wants 130+the ride for their s400 kit. I've read that some of the truck places have the flanges and fittings without the racer tax.

If you get the right sized plate - you can make the downpipe flange as well. I had to do that for someone who was in a hurry.

All you need is 6" wide plate and 1/2" thick. Cut a 4 3/4" hole, chuck it up on the inside, turn the OD, clamp the OD and finish the ID. Simple. (yes, it's really that easy). The only caveat is having the tooling to get it done, but there's no "special" stuff involved

Same for the compressor outlet flange? Then I assume you have to buy the clamps?

did you just call and ask for a s400 specific downpipe flange/clamp or will any 5 in dp/clamp work? are these places reasonable on mandrel bends as well or am i better off going to racepartssolutions or mandrelbends.com?
