just drove my new set up for the first time on the Hwy and felt
out of gear @ 3k, I guess I need track seat time.

When I cruise in mine I am turning 3300 RPM to go 60 MPH. 4.30 gear with 26" tire.
I want a built AOD so bad.Last edited by mustangguy289; 10-17-2011, 08:46 PM.

You try to go anywhere on the highways and damn near get run over. And since all the tracks are 40-70 miles from my house , I went to 355's, much better. 3300 on 28,s = 70mph
3200 Rpm, 1:1 final trans gear, 4.10:1 rear, and 28" tire =64.98 mph for the OP.
3300 rpm, 1:1 final gear, 3.55:1 rear, and 28" tire= 77.39 mph for you.

1.76 first in a PG versus 2.46 in a C4. Maybe I misunderstand what you mean.

gear the car to run 1st and 2nd only. don't shift into 3rd. 3rd is your cruising gear
you have to be spot on with the converter, but I know somebody who has done it. it was in a really light turbo car though
