I just spoke to the owner of the local teal cobra. It has been wrecked, decent repaint per him, missing vin tags on body panels and 'a steal at the listed price'

Riiiiiiiight
If it had never been wrecked, it still wouldn't be a "steal". Funny how he didn't mention any of that in his ad. I guess all the "documentation" is about the wreck?:wink1:

i've seen this car in person! it's been repainted(front bumper) and i was at the car auction that this ford dealership bought it from
they want $15k
I talked to him today and he says it has not been repainted, it is just dis colorization. So is he lying?
His reply-
Freddie here from Lewis eBay. I handle all the accounts for Lewis Auto. The Cobra has not been painted. The difference in coloration is characteristics of the difference material. Sides are painted metal and the bumper is painted plastic. It tends to fade over time. There are examples of this on many of the 93 Cobras. Please let me know what additional information I can provide for you. Thanks for your time.
