I've seen the front and rear bumper sag on foxs.. Would like to prevent that at all costs.

What is a reasonable dry weight for a not gutted but lean coupe? 2600? 2700?
Not gutted? You took all the seats out of the car and that's not gutted? I have an old fishing bucket you can sit on if you want to remove the driver's seat too.

Lol, then what is a car with no door panels, interior panels, power windows, locks, carpet, insulaton or sound deadener?

What about a car with no ac heater box, center console or dash?

If you're going to hate, atleast be real with it.

I guess my criteria is that if it's a street car and no one else can ride with you, then you have gutted (aka 'whored') it out.

The fact it isn't a tin can with lexan windows just means you aren't committed.

Tubular k-member and arms can lose you about 60-70 lbs depending on which one you go with. This is with coilovers and no stock location spring perches on the k-member. If you keep stock style springs you won't lose quite as much.
Remember that weight off the front helps the most because it helps weight transfer on launch.
A pony rim with a 225/50/16 is 40lbs, 15 x 3.5 draglite with a 165r15 radial is 28 lbs. You won't lose quite as much on the rears but you get the idea.
Going from my heavy street wheels and tires to my CCW drag pack with bias plies all the way around dropped 100 lbs of rotating weight off my '00.
With a street car and without a cage I would leave the door bars and at least run some aftermarket front and rear crash bars.
You can also buy some weld-in adapters for the rear springs and run coilover type springs in the stock position to lose some extra weight. This is much cheaper than buying a rear coilover kit and actually saves a tiny bit more weight (no sleeves and perches or axle mounting bracket).
Glass hood saves about 15 lbs.
And finally, I say fuck the stock heads and get some aluminum ones and drop 45 lbs off the nose!

I plan on putting the seats back in, took them out to get the torque boxes welded up, and i also spilled a large whataburger drink under the passengers seat so I had to clean that mess up..

And not having to give people rides is kinda nice lol.

Doesn't the seat brace strengthen the chassis? Ive seen them taken out and people putting a cross brace there for stiffness.
Well, I have a full cage, so a few pieces of stamped guage-metal is useless for anything but dead weight.
