I've never seen a TR3650 shatter the gears in it with under 400 hp but anything is possible especially if you are beating the fuck out of it and have a hard hitting clutch. Typically the 3650 will grind in 3rd gear or bust the 3-4 shift fork. If you are making over 450 to the wheels, the input shaft twisting becomes the biggest concern.
As with anything, some people can make a unit last making big power while other idiots can destroy it with half the power. It's all about the entire combo not just one piece.
