  • S/C mach1 head gaskets

I am doing an eaton swap on my 32v mach engine and was wondering on head gaskets. All the gaskets are identical. You might want to look into arp head bolts if you have the $$$. You don't have to replace them everytime you pull the heads that way.

Don't pull the heads if you dont need to.

If you are selling your intake, I would probably be interested.

Standard gaskets should do just fine.

Thank you, the heads were taken off to get rebuilt. Also does anyone know how to time the cams on these things? I have looked online and can't find a thing. And sorry the intake was part of the deal on the purchase of the eaton swap.

If memory serves me right there should me markings on the cam gears and chain. Line them all up and call it a day.

Factory gaskets are mls and of good quality. Invest in arp head bolts. Timing the cams is a detailed process.

While you time the cams, have you thought about advancing them with a degree wheel?

Im sure it's a PITA but it might be worth a few ponys.

Use the centerline method if you can. 108 intake/ 112 exhaust for most power and torque.

buy the 4v cam timing kit. its easy but you need to follow the instructions and use the proper setup tools. i removed all the follwers timed the cams then reinstalled all the followers at base circle. you can pop all the followers off with a flathead screwdriver or buy the proper tool which is recommended

new chains have them marked. if no marks split the chain in half mark the links on opposite ends.

To degree cams you do not take out links. You file the cam gears where the cam keys into them. It is very time consuming, but well worth the power. Stock cam timing stupid retarded.
