Does anyone have the tool to pull broken spark plugs from a 3V. All sites say have it handy before starting a spark plug change. New it is 75$ at napa just want to see if someone wants to sell theirs. Or let me rent it.

Are you doing this on a f150? I purchased one but got all 8 plugs out without breaking and then I sold the tool on ebay.

How did you get them out

I will answer your PM on here for others to see.

I did some research on f150 forums, here, and google and combined what everyone said . It might be too late to do some steps but here goes.

1. With about a 1/4 tank of gas pour in some really good fuel system cleaner and drive until very close to empty.

2. Let engine cool completely (overnight).

3. Pull all Coils and blow our plug holes with compressed air.

4. Squirt a good amount of carb cleaner in each spark plug hole

5. Take a breaker bar and slowly loosen and tight each plug a few turns in a back and forth motion.

6. Say a few prayers.

7. Use an electric impact or air impact wrench along with needed extensions and elbows.

8. The back spark plug on passenger side is a bitch. Unhook the battery and remove computer to get better access.

9. Turn motor over a few times to blow out any carb cleaner that got down in the cylinders from the soaking.

10.Replace with 1-piece plugs. If you do not have 1-piece plugs than follow the TSB on changing spark plugs and put the correct anti sieze on the spark plug collar.

The tool is the Lisle56500. I found a new one on ebay, did not use, and resold it for a higher price.
