Need some help.
I have a 351w, 13.86:1 compression, stock vic jr heads, 660 solid roller on a 106.
Just put some nitorus on the car. Updates the ignition to a msd 7al3.
Car has 36 degrees total timing.
Once igniton was installed, timing bumped it self from 36 to 50 degress.
I reset timing to 36 total at about 2800 rpm.
Nitrous is a applied tech cross flow plate kit. 200 shot.
Flowed the the fuel pressure at 10psi
once spray comes on, msd pulls 8 degrees of timing down to 28 degrees.
Raced the car the other night, not alot/enough of test time on the spray.
All motor through 1st and second and then hit the spray once i hit high gear. My tach ligh does not work and it was very dark outside. Once i got toward the end of the race the car felt like it was totally out of power, i was ahead in the race so i cut the nitrous off, and just went in and out of the gas till it was over.
What i though when power fell off, because i couldnt see the tach was that i just strung it out to far out of the power band.
Shit running through my head all night, i got up the next day, and made another little second gear poke, and the car literally stops pulling at 5k rpm, runs awesome untill then!
Then i mad a first gear 1500 to 4000 rpm nos blast, and it felt like i was in a funny car.
I waont have time to really look at the car / work on it till wednesday. It seems to me like it is totally running out of timing and killing itself around 5k. Car still seems to run fine on motor, but i havn't really been beating up on it since i figured out what it's doing on the spray.
Anyone had these kind of issues, and think they may know what it sounds like.
Im gonna reflow the nos fuel pressure on weddesday, and check the plugs and timing again, but im kinda stuck on what it may be.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
