  • Master brake technician needed

I am in need of someone who is very experienced with brake systems. 2006 Lincoln navigator with pulsating brakes; rotors DO NOT have runout and are as flat as they will ever be. Rotors do not need to be turned for the 3rd time. The truck has EBC slotted and dimpled rotors, with the stock pads. I put on EBC green stuff pads and there was no change. The ford house was no help at all. They said to turn the rotors that were just turned.

Thanks, you can either PM me or text me. Pm for my number.

No ABS light on. The check engine light does come on whenever it feel like it, also.

Turn the rotors on the car. Are u feeling the pulsation in the steering wheel or just pedal. Also check front end for any loose joints.

I'm sick and tired of this piece of junk, lol. Nothing in the front is loose. I checked the torque specs for all braking components and all were within proper specification. How many times do I have to turn the rotors for them to be level? This is getting out of hand!

I still have the originals that are flat. They have been turned and put back on twice, I still have this problem. But these are better rotors, and when I get the green stuff pads back on, the truck will put out almost no brake dust again. Ford brakes ftl

Check the rears, they can cause pedal, pulse if they are warped, make sure all wheel, rotor, and hub mating surfaces are flat, make sure caliper pins are free and smooth, torque wheels wrh a torque wrench, uneven torque can cause rotor warp

You should always turn them on the car.

When you say the pedal pulsates, does it vary with speed or same all the time?

Pulsating pedal means rotors have varying thickness... pushes pads into calipers and that creates pedal movement. OR, abs is cycling but its a fast almost buzzing feeling in pedal.

Pull the fuse for the ABS and see if the problem goes away.

Try putting a dial indiactor on each rotor and check the runout. Gotta check both sides. Had a rotor that was flat on one side and not on the other by .004 on the wifes car.
She said the brakes felt like they were pumping her foot.

Just a shot at your issue. Maybe a bearing???

Rotate your tires and see if the problem is better. Last time my Mark VIII had worn front tires it had similar symptoms. I was prepared to do a brake job but new tires did the trick.
