  • Vent for fuel cell

How do youall vent your fuel cells. I know about a roll over device in the hose but where do you vent, the hose? Make a hole in the body and run a hose outside or just vent it to the trunk area.

This is a road race car so lots of turns. Could be racing in the rain, loop the hose and run it to the bottom of the car ?

can't comment on a road race application, but for my car (drag racing), i run a roll over -8an fitting out of the cell, then i run the -8 line in a 360* loop before it exits through the trunk pan, then at the end of the hose (outside the car) i have a small filter

          That will work, thanks!

Do you have a pic of how you ran the lines to engine? I'm doing my fuel system right now and using same pump and filters now just need to run line but want an idea where to run it

sorry for the crap pics, but you can see basically what i did, ran the feed from the post pump filter along the inside of the rail, then in between the subframe crossing over to the outside of the subframe rails, then up to the inner fender, through the fender lining to a y block, then from the y to each rail, from the other side of each rail to my regulator, then from the regulator back through the fender lining, then back to the rear (following the feed line) then through the trunk pan to the tank.

James has it right, the only thing I can add to this is to be careful of where you put the vent compared to the exhaust exit. You (obviously) don't want it near the exhaust - especially on a car (road race) that has potential to be backfiriing out of the exhaust from lots of upshift/downshifting.
