  • How to remove double sided tape from a car

Anybody got any tips? I am removing the Roush Louvers from my wife's car and can not get the tape off the paint.

I've used a heat gun on low before... Also have been able to get it off with alcohol or mineral spirits... Just have to wash it of shortly after using it...

You can get a rubber like wheel that goes in a drill at a auto paint supply store. Or you can use a roll of 1 1/2" masking tape to rub the adhesive tape off. Takes a lot of elbow grease.

2x. be careful if you use a heat gun because you can damage the paint. a blow dryer works well too. just heat it up and scrape gently with a credit card. can also be done in combination with goo gone to get any left over residue.

I used Goo Gone and it worked fine.

Wd-40 and a rough rag worked great. Right after I posted this I found this site.

Eraser wheel and then 3m sells an adhesive remover that works great.
