thanks brad, maybe if i burry myself in a 12gt, and install a procharger f1, then it will be harder for me to sell it!

im leaning more towards a 12, i can buy a base model for 25,500 plus ttl, with my dplan pricing, and the rebates they are currently offerong. then it would b time for an f1!!

2012 5.0 checking in. The car currently has 3.15 gears and a 6A and exhaust. I have driven a pullied 2004 orange Cobra; absolutely, I would take the new 5.0 over a cobra. Even being an automatic, I think it is more fun to drive. The 5.0 is a much better more aggressive looking car, the quality is far, far ahead of the sn95 era, and the sound these cars make is incredible.

Debated myself between a 03/04 and a 5.0 a few months ago. I actually ordered up a fully loaded lava red 5.0 before they ended production on the color....long story short I have a Whippled low mile 03 in the garage and couldnt be happier...Not going to lie, it was a little tough taking "MY" 5.0 for a test ride after it was delivered, but for the price difference and power difference it was an easy decision.

NOW...if it was my DD instead of a toy, I would have picked up the 5.0...or possibly a GT500, but since its strictly for fun, the bang for the buck the cobra offers made the decision easy for me..

Do it! I did. Still questioning my decision to get an auto, but it's been fun so far.

I just picked up a 2012 gt aswell.Having owned a 500+ horsepower 03 cobra it is faster than the 11-12 stock. But the 2012 is alot nice car in every other aspect.

You wouldnt happen to have proof of that 1/4 mile time with just a tune on factory tires would you ?

The 2011's run 12.80s on avearage and I just find it hard to believe you shaved almost a half second with a tune only..

How about both? Just picked this up for mama this week....she would have been fine with the 6 cyl, but I had to get the 5.0.

It's going to make a good road trip car, but still prefer my 03 for playing around town...

Lions and Tigers and Wings oh my!

I persuaded my girl and her parents into getting her a 2011 GT500. Black with Grabber Blue stripes. traded in a mini cooper S and paid 35 on top for it. I like it a LOT more than the pre '10 GT500s. much more aggressive front end styling and interior is way cleaner. exhaust is already pretty stout, intake is stout, 100lbs off of the block alone from 2010-2011, plus a lot of other nice changes. 3.73s in the rear, solid axle. If i was able to afford a new 5.0, i would look at the older GT-500s. they are still great for that price range.
