  • 2003/2004 cobra or 2012 5.0

wanting to buy another car, stuck between buying another cobra, modded offcourse, or a new 2012 gt. i really like the idea of a new car, and love how they run with little mods.

Just urious of other opinions, i have owned an 03 cobra that made 600.

Has anyone owned both and what do they think?

    thanks

Are you buying a $30k cobra? If so I'd take the cobra. I'd imagine it will also hold value better.

I'll put a vote in for the 2012. They respond well to basic mods. That said, if I fit better in a Cobra (I'm only 5'10", but my head is way too close to the roof), I might change my answer. And lol at perceived value down the road. Are you buying one to drive or save for a rainy day?

I'd buy the 2012. The 03/04 are dated now.

My 2012 GT 5.0 auto, smoked a 03 Cobra, stock to stock, he did start reeling me at about 125mph. Those IRS's are not for drag racing without some heavy mods.
Manny's car is an auto and he ran 11.7@120ish with a BOSS Intake, CAI, non-catted H-pipe, cat back, stickies and a tune.
Not sure you can get a 03/04 Cobra to do that unless you bolt-on a KB blower and they run about 6k without install.

Damn im 6'1 and I feel like there is plenty room in my 99gt.

I vote for the new gt, since you have already had a cobra. Something different and newer.

I have yet to come across a '12 GT that even remotely hangs with my Cobra. lol.

There are ported cars running high 9's. High 10's is easy is a proper setup.

                          I sold my 26k miles 03 cobra kennebell 620h.p for a 2011 GT

The 11' is 100% better car hands down. If steves car is so badass why cant he sell it 03 cobra's are dated.

It doesn't matter, you can't hold onto a driver for more than 2 months anyway.
