  • Average stock 60 fts..

What is the average or normal 60ft for a stock power coupe?

Stock suspsension minus the Front sway bar.

It's got a strut tower bar aswell.

I'm on 26x11.5 slicks, theyre old tho. I do the burnout in 2nd gear at 4k rpm. I smoked out the staging lanes.

    I'm on 15 psi, launching at 3500rpm.

Best I can get is 1.9x 60ft time.

I've played with the launch rpm it stays the same.

    1.9 seems shitty...

Ive done some weight mods and it's 3060lbs with me in.

Sounds like you are spinning off the line. I was getting 2.0-2.1 on a stock 02 GT with street tires and 1.78 on 26x10.5 ET Streets at 18psi. The only mods I had for suspension was stock 4 cylinder fox springs cut 3/4 coil off and no front sway bar. I don't know what gears you're running in the rear but that might be a problem as well. I had 3.55 in mine and ran best with them.

I have 3.73s, and I would get 2.0 60s on street tires too.

I guess I'll get some better tires and see what it does.

Try to lower your tire pressure. I use to run 8-9 lbs with the best performance.

Tires are shit, if you are spinning with slickery on the track with near stock power then the slickery you have are too old/hard/done. Throw them away, do some knarly burnouts for fun, or something and invest in some newer slickery or some mickeys.

With good tires what kind of 60ft should I expect?

                        1.7? 1.6?

If I can shave 2 or 3 tenths off my 60ft then that should put me in the 8.3-8.4 area.

That would be badass for a stock h/c/I 91 coupe! hopefully the mph won't take to hard of a hit. Trapping 80 now.

I would say mid 1.7 to 1.80. I don't know what you're budget situation is but you might look for tire reconditioner from jegs or summit if you can't afford new tires. If you decide to get new ones, mark which side the tires go on so the sidewalls won't breakdown from wrinkling both directions.

So a 1.7x shouldnt be out of the question.

That'd drop me 2 tenths. 8.4xs is crazy.

You should seen the look on people's face when I told them it ran an 8.8.. Now a 8.6.

Geez i need tires and suspension mods!
