Lol so I bought a non running car for a good deal and immediatley get it running for the 13 dollar part above. I left the car out there since I went alone not knowing if I was going to but it or not. Well went back out there yesterday night and drive it up to the nearest gas station and check tire pressure and fluids and then hit the road. The battery light was on and it turned out the alternator was bad as well and not charging the car. So we leave it in a walmart parking lot and retreat back home 50 miles away. Today we snagged the extra alternator I had lying around and head back out there during the daytime so i'd have daylight and the parts stores would be open (just in case). Swap the alternator and problem fixed. Half way home the car is smoking pretty good so I pull over to investigate. Tranny fluid is now leaking and burning on the exhaust. The car was still driving great so I just got it home and there is tranny fluid immediatley puddling under the car so I guess that's a good thing there was still fluid to leak out. I know the car has sat for 3 years due to the fact that the oil sticker from 2008 has the mileage for the next oil change still 1000 miles away. Hopefully the pans gasket is just bad but I'm not going to look till tommorrow. Without seeing it, what other possibilities could cause the leak ?Comment
