where could i get the kind of engine holder that goes across the engine bay to hold up the engine, and are they just for front wheel drive cars?

You can build one easily enough. Assuming you have some pipe, cutter, welder, and some minor skills. If I ever swap Kmembers I'll either do that or simply use a cherry picker/engine hoist.
