    where could i get the kind of engine holder that goes across the engine bay to hold up the engine, and are they just for front wheel drive cars?

    Home Depot.. I have always used a 4X4 post and a chain. Pad the fenders with pads, fender covers, towels or what ever you have....

          Why are they only for "fwd cars"

          I used to use them all the time when dropping k-members in mustangs and keeping the engine up.

                idk thats just what i heard, i plan on redoing my whole front suspension and dont wanna pull the motor so i would like something like that to use

                  You can build one easily enough. Assuming you have some pipe, cutter, welder, and some minor skills. If I ever swap Kmembers I'll either do that or simply use a cherry picker/engine hoist. (Which is a good alternative for a temporary job.)
