right now, with a trap of 81 he would be at 6500 with a 26'' tires and 4.56

when he does a short runner, his mph and rpm will grow linearly, so it works out

cobraman what size tires were you running? those nittos?

        yeah.

Your car will be at the track 1/60th of the time you drive it on the street. Don't go higher than 4.30. it sucks on the highway, and even if you drive on the highyway once in a blue moon you will still hate it. Roll racing sucks because you are always shifting like crazy and never have enough gear to do anything. Forget launching on the street. With dr's you will launch at 4k and already be wayyy out of gear. Its just better to not.

It's really just the little stuff. Turning from an intersection and hitting it. By the time you are out of the turn you are at the end of second=no fun to smash it. With 4.10's I come around the same turn at 4krpms and it pulls hard through 1st gear.

Like I said. I drove my cobra with 4.56's for months. It is fun, but I'd rather have 4.30's.

              305/35/18's

I wanna say they are 26" diameter.

Also, everyone measures rpms at 70. Nobody ever drives 70. Lol. I was almost at 4k rpms at 80-85. There is a dyno day cruise video of it. It Kills gas mileage, and cannot be good for your motor.

Either way, get your torque boxes welded up and look for some 31spline stuff. I bent an axle on street tires with 4.56's

If you really want to try 4.56's, you can bolt in my old set. They are in my old rear end at Jamesb's shop in krum. Go get em and you can have em.
