    Are they the "decal" version?

I think you should get the "black face" ones instead.

Kidding! If they are the decal version. Use a method similar to window tinting.

Mock it up first. Maybe somewhere with good lighting. It can be difficult to see your existing gauges marks. Saturate the decal, and gauge, with a mild soap and water mix. Get the decal in place and start to work out some of the bubbles (maybe use a pen to roll them out to avoid scratching/tearing). Let it dry some and take a hair dryer to it for a bit.

If they are the backlit electroluminescent (more expensive kind) you need to open your cluster, and remove your pin stops for your needles, and then let your gauges rest. Mark their location with a piece of tape, or a photo (do this really really well). Then pop them off with a fork from your kitchen. make sure the needles go back on EXACTLY the same. I did this on my '92 hatch and I got my fuel guage slightly off and ran out of gas 2 times.

                      I hear they work better.

Yeah the gauges require removal of the needles. Right now the fuel and water temp i think are off (not reading right) without the whitefaces. I dont wanns screw them up even more. guess ill have to give it a try this weekend. Thanks for the help!

I installed white faced gauges in my 92 Mustang. I took pictures of the gauges after they had rested overnight and then started to take it apart and install them. I also filled up my gas tank prior to doing it so I could put the fuel gauge needle at the Full mark. My install was very easy.
