The engine is toast. Lucky for him, his insurance is covering the damage to the engine.
So he is taking to G/H. They are going to take good care of it.

Wow, really? I'm glad that he's getting getting taken care of, but I've driven through 12"+ of water under the high-five, and my car was fine. I had a K&N at the time, so maybe all that oil made a difference.
