it's doing something, I would replace the end bushings and look for weight savings elsewhere.

I know its a tight fit with a car-seat and a fox-vert with the top up. lol. When we took my granddaughter for rides in the vert, she would be blown away from being over the windshield line. She got a kick out of it. But now that she is five she can ride in the little booster seat.

But I agree with that saying. Hence Juans SS that was swiss cheesed & was a 6.80 car with just cam only & a 6spd at that. Of course this wasnt a car his kid rode in either

Here's mine, made template using cardboard from flat screen tv box, transfered to aluminum, covered in 1\2 dense poly-foam, and carpet. Doubt I saved any weight, but didn't have back seats anyway, and like being in easy reach of the bottle. Switches control heater on each bottle. Should be a whole lot easier doing something similar in my 98 Gt since the rear seats recess, thinking of doing a single sub in lower panel on one side and the other side opening for a storage compartment. The Roll bar make the rear seats pretty well useless in that car now.
