Would it be attached to the top bolt (closest to engine block) or bottom bolt (closest to the ground)????Doug

While you've got the ignition switch apart look into the harness connector for signs of melting or burnt contacts. I had the recall done and then a couple of years later started having problems again. Turns out i had a melted/burnt harness connector. Either the replacement switch had crapped out and melted the wiring harness connector too, or it was melted when the original switch was replaced and not caught at that time.

I said fuck it and dropped it off at a trusted shop this morning. It's 315 now. 6 hours later. They still working on it. As soon as they call me to tell me why it is. I will update. Plus it is only costing me 40 bux to get it diagnosed.SCREW CANADA!!!

Here is the answer. Someone before me replaced the harness and fuse box. They used wire cutters and Jew electrical tape. Over the time the Jew tape was wearing down and wires were touching. Needless to say the shop replaced every wire leaving my fuse box along with using the spare fuse box I had in the car (which I pulled from another stang) all for 300 bucks !!!SCREW CANADA!!!
