i have a non intercooled vortech v2 on my 00' gt. my motor is shot and i'm swapping in a truck motor while i rebuild the old one. my vortech has the stock pulley which is 3.6" i think.
i am curious on what it takes to swap to a smaller pulley. i know the 99's don't have the vortech FMU so is there a chip or something installed (got the car with the kit on it)? if so will it need a reflash with a smaller pulley?
next question. lets assume it will need a reflash do add fuel and pull timing, which it probably will. what if i didn't get it tuned and sprayed water methanol? i have a snow kit i can throw on there.
i know that water meth and no retune isn't the safest way to go but i really don't give a shit about the truck motor going in and its not a daily. it might get driven once or twice a week when the weather is nice.
