After I finish this conv 87 for my buddy with the heads and cam i did, i am starting on a new sheet of paper, I have my 1968 mustang coupe orig v8 car, still have the orig motor that was rebuilt (never used), looking to get around 400-450 hp, but since this is a new project from scratch i dont know what to go with, a 347 the stock 289 or a ls6 motor, i want to maybe turbo it, the only reason i am thinking ls6 or ls anything is because i hear great things from it... anyways let me know what yall think.... my ears are open...

Hmmm... whats the budget look like? Fuel injected or carb? A 347 is only going to make 400-450 in higher then turbo friendly compresion form. Boost friendly would probably get you around 350-375 rwhp. Maybe a bit more. If you are looking for 400-450 n/a then make it a 351 with a set of afr or tfs heads, a good cam and intake.
