  • school me on hydraulic clutches

fabbing one up on a kart project, already found the master I plan on using but have some questions.

how is "throw" determined on the far end, ie slave cylinder? does the master cyl matter as much as the slave in dictating how far the clutch arm will be actuated by them or can I just set some mechanical stops and find one that is sufficient.

sorry if confusing.. i'm half asleep at work.

The slave is just that; slave to the master cylinder.

You should be able to use the volume and stroke on the master and the slave cylinder volume to calculate the stroke on the slave, right?
